NEXT PAGE (Part of the BASF)
In which are included the commandments of his apostles, concerning which he said, “He that heareth you, heareth me”; and Paul, “The things that I write are the commandments of the Lord.”
A. CONCERNING GOD
1. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy soul, and all thy strength, and all thy mind.
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. - Matthew 22v37
2. Fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. - Matthew 10v28
3. Glory in the Lord; not in man.
Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's - 1 Corinthians 3v21
But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. - 2 Corinthians 10v17
4. Be imitators of God; be like Him in His kindness to the undeserving.
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. - Matthew 5v45-48
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; - Ephesians 5v1
5. Pray to God always and faint not.
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint - Luke 18v1
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you - Matthew 7v7
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. - Matthew 26v41
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints - Ephesians 6v18

Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving - Colossians 4v2
Pray without ceasing. - 1 Thessalonians 5v17
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. - 1 Timothy 2v8
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. - Hebrews 4v16
pray with brevity and simplicity,
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. - Matthew 6v7
pray secretly.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. - Matthew 6v6
6. Have faith in God:cast your care upon Him: He knows your need and will provide.
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. - Mark 11v22
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? - Matthew 6v25
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. - Philippians 4v6
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. - 1 Peter 5v7
7. Give yourselves to His service without reserve, recognizing that you cannot serve God and Mammon.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. - Matthew 6v24
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. - Romans 12v1
8. In everything give thanks to Him: for this is His will and pleasure concerning you.
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ - Ephesians 5v20
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. - Colossians 3v15,17
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. - 1 Thessalonians 5v18
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. - Hebrews 13v15
9. Recognize Him in all your ways, saying concerning your purpose “if the Lord will”
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. - James 4v15
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. - Proverbs 3v6
10. Come out from the world and be separate unto Him, as His sons and daughters.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. - 2 Corinthians 6v14-17
B. CONCERNING CHRIST
11. Let Christ dwell in your heart by faith.
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love - Ephesians 3v17
12. Give him a higher place than father, mother, husband, wife, children, relations, houses and lands.
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. - Luke 14v26
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. - Matthew 10v37
13. Set your affections upon him, and not upon present world at all.
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. - Colossians 3v1-4
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. - 1 John 2v15
14. Take him for an example and follow in his steps.
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously - 1 Peter 2v21-23
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. - John 13v15
15. Abide in him: do not let him slip from your memory and affections.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. - John 15v7
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. - Hebrews 2v1
16. Call him to remembrance every first day of the week in the breaking of bread, as he has appointed.
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it - Matthew 26v26-27
And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. - 1 Corinthians 11v24-26
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. - Acts 2v42
And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. - Acts 20v7
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. - 1 Corinthians 16v2
17. Be not ashamed to confess him before men.
Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God - Luke 12v8
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. - Mark 8v38
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God - 2 Timothy 1v8
at the same time taking care to expose not your holy things to the profane.
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. - Matthew 7v6
18. Aim to be in a state of continual readiness for his coming. With this in view, be on your guard against the excess of business, the cares of life, and the allurements of pleasure.
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. - Matthew 24v44
Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. - Luke 12v35-37
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. - Luke 14v26
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. - 2 Peter 3v14
19. Endure to the end, submitting to hardship if the necessary consequence.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. - Matthew 24v13
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. - 2 Timothy 2v3
20. Hold fast your confidence and rejoicing in him till you die or he come.
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. - Revelation 2v10-25
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end - Hebrews 3v14
